Balachaur MLA: The constituency number of Balachaur assembly seat is 48 and it comes under the Anandpur Sahib lok sabha constituency. As per the latest updates available, SANTOSH KUMARI KATARIAA of AAP has won from this seat with a margin of 4541 votes and is elected as the new MLA of Balachaur. SUNITA RANI of SAD has lost the elections and secured the second place.
In 2017, Chaudhary Darshan Lal Mangepur was elected as MLA from this seat. He/she is associated with Congress and won the elections with a margin of 19640 votes.
