Sangrand 2025

Puranmashi May 2025
The night of Full Moon is called as Puranmashi (Pooranmashi or Punia) in Punjabi and the hindi word for this is Purnima. On this night, moon is visible as full circle and brighter than other days. As this is associated with the rotation of moon around the earth and each cycle takes little more than 29 days, so the day of puranmashi comes after almost 29 days.The date of Puranmashi in May 2025 is Monday, 12th May and this is the Vaisakh sudi puranmashi.

Masya May 2025
Masya or Amavasya is the new moon day. Moon is not visible on the night of masya. The day of Masya is related to the rotation of the moon around the earth. As earch rotation takes approximately 29 days, so the day of Masya comes after around 29 days. In the month of May, the date of Masya is 27th May 2025 (Tuesday) which is Jeth Vadi Masya.According to Amanta Calendar (Hindu calendar from Amavasya to Amavasya), the new month starts from Amavasya.
