As of April 2019, Ravneet Singh Bittu of Congress is the current MP of Ludhiana lok sabha seat. He won from this seat during the last general elections held in April-May 2014. He got total 300459 votes and won by a margin of 19598 votes. Harvinder Singh Phoolka of AAP was at the second place and got 280750 votes. In Ludhiana lok sabha constituency, the voting for general elections 2014 was held on 30 April, 2014. The constituency recorded a voting percentage of 70.22%. The counting of votes began on 16 May, 2014 and the results were announced on the same day. Akali Candidate from Ludhiana - Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal is Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Ludhiana. He is a senior leader of Akali dal and a former cabinet minister of Punjab. In the last elections held in 2014, Manpreet Singh Ayali represented Akali dal but he came at the third position.

Congress Candidate from Ludhiana - Ravneet Singh Bittu is the Congress candidate from Ludhiana lok sabha constituency. He is also the sitting MP from this seat, who won in 2014 elections by a margin of 19598 votes and Harvinder Singh Phoolka of AAP was the trailing candidate.

AAP Candidate from Ludhiana - AAP has announced Prof Tejpal Singh as its candidate from Ludhiana. This 32 year old young politician holds a PhD in Jail Management and a Master’s degree in police administration. In the last elections, H.S. Phoolka of AAP gave a tough competition and lost by less than 20 thousand votes. But he has resigned from AAP and not participating in active politics.

PDA Candidate from Ludhiana - Simarjit Singh Bains of Lok Insaf Party (LIP) is another main contenstant from this seat. He is a sitting MLA from Atam Nagar assembly constituency.
LIP is part of Punjab Democratic Alliance which comprises Sukhpal Singh Khaira-led Punjab Ekta Party (PEP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Lok Insaaf Party (LIP), Punjab Manch led by suspended AAP MP Dharamvira Gandhi, CPI and the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI).

During the earlier general elections held in 2009 for 15th Lok Sabha, Munish Tiwari was elected MP from Ludhiana parliament seat. He is a senior Congress leader. In the 2019 elections, he is contesting from Anandpur Sahib constituency.
